Meet Dylan Wong – USCU Campus Psychologist

By Gavin Tessnear

Dylan Wong is a 3-year PhD Student of clinical-community psychology at the University of South Carolina. Wong was inspired to pursue psychology studies because he noticed struggles with anxiety among himself and his friends and wanted to be part of the solution.

Mental health issues on colleges campuses are on the rise, and Wong feels that there is more need than ever for students to make use of the free or low cost resources that are available to them. He says that the most common mental heath issues that students face are social anxiety, anxiety, depression, stress, and substance abuse.

For students who might be apprehensive about visiting the Psychological Services Center, Wong says there is no need to worry. All sessions are completely confidential, and can be conducted in person or online. Reach out to Dylan at dw68@email.sc.edu.
