Student Literary Works: You Don’t Know My Story

By Marlow Gist

You don’t know my story, why I shout and give God all the Glory.

The trials and tribulations I went through

That’s why I praise God the way I do.

Trouble on my left and trouble on my right

God stepped in and said “I have won the fight.”

You don’t know my story, why I shout and give God all the Glory.

My world has been shattered where I thought I would lose my mind

My Jesus stepped in, He was never late, He was on time.

Sleepless nights, lonely days,

I made it through because I called on His name.

You don’t know my story, why I shout and give God all the Glory.

I thank Him each day because it could have been the other way.

If you seen me shouting yesterday, and seen me shouting today,

Don’t look strangely at me,

You just don’t know my story, why I shout and give God all the Glory.
