SGA President Report

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great semester so far! My name is Katie Painter and I am your SGA President.

I am in my first year of nursing school here at USC Union and work in the Success Center. I have a two-year-old daughter named Jayleigh. I am very outgoing and I love to talk, and I enjoy bowling in my free time.

I believe that SGA is important to our campus because it helps get students involved. Before I started joining clubs and attending events on campus, I felt lost. I want all of our students to feel like they belong here.

As president, I encourage students to create good study habits, get involved in research and build relationships, not just with each other, but with professors and staff too. Your professors are here to help you succeed.

My goal for the year is to do the best I can to be an example to my fellow students. I also want our SGA members to be sure they are actively spreading the word about campus events and inviting their fellow students.
